Volunteer
Volunteers at URDT come from all walks of life. Jodi is a Harvard grad who spent three months at URDT as a volunteer. Jodi's uncle, Joel, is a volunteer board member with AFPF, the U.S. fundraising arm of URDT.

If in your application letter you agree to the Mission intent of URDT below:

PROGRAMME MISSION

Enable the people of Uganda to recognize and embody common vision, values and work together to create for themselves Peace, Prosperity, Freedom, Health and Happiness as they discover that they are KEY to their own development! In addition, tap the innate power and wisdom of the people to create an environment that fosters personal and communal growth.

Cultivate the spirit of self-reliance to build integrated, self-generated development of rural communities and economies by integrating training, education and information sharing in development activities, and using local available resources and technologies, as an example of what is possible in development.

Enable the people to recognize and utilize the interrelationships between development concerns in health, nutrition, sanitation, agriculture, water management, rural technologies, income generation and the environment, so they have a holistic approach to their development.

Then, dear friend, you have a pretty good chance at being accepted as a URDT Volunteer.

THESE ARE THE VALUES THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN THE URDT VOLUNTEER.

If you believe in our Vision and our Mission, we welcome your application.

Please e-mail us and attach your résumé to be considered for a volunteer position.
