Appropriate Technologies

Teaching and utilizing state-of-the-art appropriate technology techniques on its campus, including solar electricity, solar drying, biogas systems, energy-efficient stoves, Ventilated Improved Pit latrines, animal traction and waste conversion.

ICTs/Computer Training Programme

The Computer Center provides the first-ever exposure to computers for most of its visitors. Through access and training, the Center makes computer literacy possible for nearly a hundred new people each year.

On the air 365 days a year, 16 hours per day, KKCR broadcasts thousands of educational programmes each year, reaching a listenership of 4 million people in a 50-mile radius around Kagadi.

Providing information and conflict resolution services on land ownership and tenure matters to the poor people in the region, most of whom are squatters on their ancestral lands that are owned by absentee landlords.
